Vision Correction Center

Learn more about iLASIKLaser Vision Correction is eye surgery to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. LASIK, or “lamellar eye surgery”, is performed between the layers of corneal tissue; the cornea is reshaped using laser technology for light rays to be focused in a crisp image, minimizing the need for an optical prescription.

As Corneal Specialists, the See Clearly refractive surgeons have additional training, experience, and expertise in Laser Eye Surgery, which offers our patients an added sense of confidence in the safety and efficacy of the procedure. Our very own Corneal Specialist Rajesh Rajpal, M.D. is credited with being the first eye surgeon to perform Laser Vision Correction in the Washington, DC area. During this time he served as a Principal Investigator for the FDA clinical trials that demonstrated the safety and efficacy of Laser Vision Correction treatment.

At See Clearly Vision, our doctors insist on utilizing the best possible laser technology for each patient, including All Laser Bladeless Custom Wavefront LASIK, also known as iLASIK.  We believe in a conservative approach to Laser Vision Correction, and will take the time necessary to review our examination results and answer your questions so that you can make an informed decision about Laser Eye Surgery.

Blade-Free LASIK  iLASIK

At See Clearly, we provide iLASIK eye surgery using an advanced procedure called Bladeless or Blade-Free All Laser LASIK using IntraLase™ FS femtosecond flap-creation technology.  This advanced technology laser allows our corneal specialists to create a LASIK flap without the use of a blade or microkeratome. Intralase provides a smoother, more precise flap, which allows for better visual outcomes and fewer possible complications.

Custom LASIK Surgery

Custom LASIK Surgery, also known as wavefront-guided LASIK, is an advanced laser technology that allows the laser to be individually programmed for your eye’s subtle surface irregularities.  This precise way of measuring each individual’s eye prescription gives a smoother cornea with better visual outcomes than standard LASIK.

Lens Implant Options

For patients that are not good candidates for Laser Vision Correction, the Visian ICL™ Implantable Collamer Lens is an effective vision correction alternative for those struggling with near-sightedness. The Visian ICL is a soft gel-like lens implant that is placed inside the eye; in front of the eye’s natural lens. This often provides better optics for patients with high amounts of nearsightedness and can be removed if necessary.
