Dr. Amy Combs served as a Captain in the U.S. Army. While on active duty, she was responsible for delivering full-scope eye care to soldiers, their families, and retirees. She is originally from Tennessee but has been caring for patients in the northern Virginia and DC areas most recently. Her special interests include quality care of patients, advanced contact lens fitting, and surgical co-management.
Dr. Combs obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Languages from The University of Memphis. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry from The Southern College of Optometry and graduated in The Beta Kappa Honor Society. She is a Board Member of The Northern Virginia Optometric Society and a member of The American Optometric Association and Virginia Optometric Association. She has an extensive background in biological research and is participating in ongoing clinical trials. Currently, she treats patients at See Clearly Vision in our Arlington and Tysons Corner offices.
