Dr. Alexander W. Van Dyck is an optometrist with a passion for treating corneal disease, glaucoma, and fitting specialty contact lenses at See Clearly Vision in McLean, Virginia, Arlington, Virginia, and Rockville, Maryland. Originally from eastern Virginia and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he graduated magna cum laude from Christopher Newport University with a bachelor’s degree in molecular biology. A third-generation optometrist, Dr. Van Dyck attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University and elected to enroll in advanced studies in anterior segment disease. He then went on to complete a residency in ocular disease at Seidenberg Protzko Eye Associates in Havre de Grace, Maryland.
As a member of the American Academy of Optometry, Dr. Van Dyck has presented case posters and given lectures on ocular disease. In addition, he has been a sub-investigator in multiple clinical trials related to ocular surface disease and glaucoma and has extensive experience with co-management of surgical patients. He has also received awards for both clinical excellence and leadership. Dr. Van Dyck continues to expand his education and is currently completing a master’s degree in public health from Salus University.
