Specialty Prosthetic Lenses for Cornea Conditions

Our Optometric Director Dr. Christine Wisecarver has been recognized for her expertise and experience in the complex fitting of specialty contact lenses for patients with corneal diseases and conditions that result in irregular corneas. These include but are not limited to Keratoconus, cornea transplants, corneal ectasia, corneal scarring resulting from infection or trauma, ocular surface disease such as Sjörgrens Syndrome, Stevens Johnson Syndrome (SJS) and Ocular Graft Versus Host Disease (GVHD).

  • Piggyback Contact Lenses where a carefully selected soft lens is placed on the eye, then a specially fit Rigid Gas Permeable (RGP) Lens rests on top of the soft lens
  • Custom Designed Hydrophilic and Silicone Lenses
